Mount Everest, which lies in the Himalayan mountain ranges in Nepal, is the highest mountain in the world at 8848 m above sea level. Mount Everest is called "Sagarmatha" in Nepalese language which means "forehead of the sky." About 1000 people have so far climbed the summit of Mount Everest and is considered as one of the greatest challenge to the human spirit and endurance.
