Growing up in Taipei, Barbie entered showbizness at the early age of 16, along with her sister and bestfriend Dee Hsu. The duo earned themselves a TV hosting spot of Taiwan’s popular TV show called 100% Entertainment Show (off air) and later the cooking show, “DaXiao Ai Chi” which also later came to a halt because of Barbie’s busy schedule.

Aside from TV series, Barbie has also done a lot of movies and have worked with big stars such as Andy Lau (Future Cop), Michelle Yeoh and famous director John Woo for the film “Reign of Assassins”. Barbie also has received a film actress award for her outstanding performance in the movie “On His Majesty’s Secret Service” together with Louis Koo who also starred with her in the blockbuster film “Connected”.
