Nokia N97 - 32 GB touch-screen smartphone
Nokia has unveiled the Nokia N97 - the 32 GB touch-screen smartphone, which it claims is the world's most advanced mobile computer and will transform the way people connect to the Internet and to each other. (Click to enlarge images)
The Nokia N97 has a tiltable 3.5-inch (16:9 widescreen) 640 x 360 pixel touch screen with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens and dual LED flash, A-GPS and standalone GPS, 3G capabilities, Wi-Fi and a built-in capability to stream Flash videos.
The Nokia N97 runs on Symbian S60 5th Edition and has a massive storage memory of up to 48 GB, with 32 GB of inbuilt memory, expandable with a 16-GB microSD card. Nokia software also has widgets which will enable the user to update social networks automatically with their status and location with related pictures and video.
The Nokia N97 weighs 150g and measures 117.2x55.3x15.9mm (HxWxD) and has a 1500mAh battery, which will last up to 16 days on standby, or provide 37 hours of continuous music playback or four and a half hours of video.
The Nokia N97 also features Nokia's new concept of 'social location' by which the Nokia N97 smartphone intuitively understands where it is with the help of the integrated A-GPS sensors and an electronic compass.
The Nokia N97 will be released in the first half of 2009 for approximately $695.
